Based upon the close proximity of other DEA agents or task force officers, it appears that this agent was conducting a surveillance operation at the time of the accident. Surveillance operations result in increased heart rate and adrenaline release. Law enforcement academies teach agents how to maintain tracking of suspects, who are often trying to shake surveillance, but need to spend more time teaching agents how to maintain that focus while being completely aware of their surroundings. There is no evidence that this was anything but a terrible, unintended accident. It is disappointing to see the usual activist crowd jump on it to advance their bizarre, anti-law enforcement agenda.
