I am an introvert and feel like you do about chitchat. If it's real conversation, I can go for it but just chatting-- not so much. In group activities, I usually found the male conversations more interesting. My theory on this is an introvert needs more alone time-- but in depth conversations can override that. Just talking to be talking-- not so much. I don't think this is a male or female deal-- but introvert or extrovert and where we get our energy.
