Listening to POTUS (great political talk programming) on satellite radio recently, a caller had a great response to the usual Republican line, "Are you better off today than four years ago, when Obama was elected president?"
He said the question should be:
Are you better off today than two years ago, when Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell said, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president"?
The biggest problem our country has is Republican obstructionism.
The not-so G.O.P. dislikes Obama and his policies so much, it seems that Republicans would rather have the economy hurt, than pass legislation which would make things better.
McConnell's statement made that clear. Republicans aren't serious about working with Democrats and the White House to solve national problems. Their sole selfish goal is more political power.
"Their [republicans'] sole selfish goal is more political power."
...and democrats are somehow different?

From “Change you can believe in” to “Blame you can believe in.”
Whatever happened to “The Buck Stops Here” ?? If Truman was alive today his advice for Obama would be, “If you can't stand the heat, you better get out of the kitchen."
Sincerely,
Big Oil
