Which Oregon state legislators have been naughty or nice to the environment?
The just-released 2011 Environmental Scorecard produced by the Oregon League of Conservation Voters (OLCV) makes it easy to tell.

I checked out the Republican legislators who, unfortunately, my wife and I are saddled with here in our right-leaning area of Marion County.
Ugh!
State Senator Brian Boquist got the absolutely lowest OLCV Senate score when it came to voting in support of our Earth's one and only environment: 44%. Amazingly, in the 2011 session he scored even lower than Larry George.
On the state representative side, Rep. Jim Thompson got a 60%. Hey, not too bad, Jim. Also, not too good. Compared to the really un-green wacked-out Republicans in Congress, our Oregon GOP shines environmenally.
But only in comparison.
Sixteen Democrat state senators got gold stars from OLCV, scoring 90% or better, while only two Republicans did. In the House, eight Democrat state representatives got gold stars -- zero Republicans did.
Conclusion: with rare exceptions, vote Democrat if you care about the environment and growing the economy through Green jobs.
