There's another development in the lengthy saga of the Singh brothers' financial scandal that involves the guru of Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB0, Gurinder Singh Dhillon.
The Delhi High Court says that the Dhillon family has to submit income tax returns and other documents to the court. Here's the Economic Times story.
The Delhi High court has dismissed an application filed by the head of Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) Gurinder Singh Dhillon seeking exemption on filing income tax returns and other financial documents.
“In my view, these documents are essential to enable the learned Joint Registrar/Court to determine the merit in the stand of the garnishees who are disputing their liability qua the JDs,” said the court in its order dated September 11. ET has seen a copy of the order.
The court said that it sees no reason to exempt the applicants from filing copies of their income tax returns, bank statements and the balance-sheets.
Dhillon had sought exemption from filing Income Tax returns (ITR) in the Delhi High Court, citing that it contains “personal information” and it was not an “appropriate stage” to produce such documents.
The court had earlier asked Dhillon along with his family members to file ITRs after he denied of any liability towards RHC holdings Ltd, promoted by Malvinder and Shivinder Singh.
In an affidavit filed before the court, Dhillon has said that being individuals, the Dhillons do not “maintain balance sheet” and filing ITR would cause “severe prejudice” to them.
Dhillon had earlier admitted of his financial dealings with the Singh brothers by annexing copies of bank statements. However, he had denied of any liability to RHC holding, to which the court had asked those of who were disputing their liability to file their ITR, bank statements and balance sheets.
In an affidavit filed on January 30, Dhillon had sought an exemption from filing ITRs for himself, his wife, Shabnam Dhillon, his sons-Gupreet and Gurkirat and his daughter-in-law Nayantara Dhillon.
“In this regard it is submitted that the applicants have already placed on record in this court their relevant bank statements. Further, the applicants being individuals do not maintain balance sheets and hence the direction to that extent is not application to them,” read the 14-page affidavit.
In an affidavit filed before the Delhi High court on November 12 last year, Dhillon had disclosed about the financial transactions between RHC holdings Ltd and his family members dating back to 2006. In fact he has also tried to establish that his sons Gurpreet and Gurkirat Singh Dhillon were young at that time, Gurkirat being minor and both his sons did not manage their financial affairs personally.
He had also revealed that RHC devised such a mechanism that transactions essentially involved transferring money from one subsidiary to a bank account of Dhillons and then transferring the same money either on the same day or shortly thereafter to another subsidiary of the group or usually to RHC holdings Ltd.
He had also claimed that over the course of 2011-2015, out of the surplus of Rs 103.5 crores with RHC he and his family drew only Rs29.38 crores, leaving the balance surplus of Rs 74.12 crores. “Thus an amount of Rs 74.12 crores continued to be due from RHC holdings Ltd”.
Oh my Gaaaawd, Brian, you’re other posts are so much more interesting than the ones about RSSB.
I love your articles on philosophy and current events and even atheism more than this. Who wants to be reminded about this constantly?

Sonia, it's significant news when a religious leader who is viewed as God in human form by millions of disciples around the world is trying to keep his income tax returns hidden from an Indian court.
This blog is dedicated to exposing the pitfalls of religious belief. One of those pitfalls is believing in holy men/women who supposedly possess divine qualities, including impeccable morals.
So keeping people informed about the financial scandal the RSSB guru is enmeshed in serves as a reminder that gurus, like everybody else, are simply ordinary human beings with strengths and weaknesses. Except, most of us would comply with a court order. Thus in this regard Gurinder Singh is acting like an inferior person.

Thank the merciful lord above you aren’t an ex-Scientologist. There would be no end to the posts about the “evils of Scientology”.
Seriously, I really like what you write about. That is, everything except RSSB. They are one of a million faiths. And every “faith” has its problems. It’s time to move on... I have.

Besides, what if his tax returns showing nothing incriminating (which I can assure you will happen) are shared to the court? It has no baring/bearing (my English SUCKS according to my professors).
35 years is a really long time to spend devoted to a path that didn’t serve you well. I totally get that. I do. Believe me. But dwelling on it isn’t going to free you.
It’s time to be free.

Sonia, when someone has nothing to hide, they usually don't try to hide it from authorities. They're eager to get the information out so they can be cleared of suspicion. Gurinder Singh has resisted inquiries from authorities at every turn.
I find this financial fraud saga interesting, as do many others who visit this blog, so I continue to share new developments in the case. Otherwise, I never think about RSSB or the guru. It's only when someone shares a link to a new story in the Indian financial press that I pay attention to the fresh development. I noticed the link I shared today in a comment someone left.
As I frequently note on this blog, if I'd been an avid Catholic for 35 years I'd be writing about the failings of the Catholic Church, of which there are many. But since my religious background was 35 years in RSSB, that's the organization I feel comfortable with using as an example of a religion gone bad.
Assuming, of course, any religion is good. Since they all lack a foundation in truth, I'd say they're all bad. Some are worse than others, though.

Your efforts to make known relevant Indian press releases ARE commendable AND justifiable. Many individuals DO consider these particular releases relevant, irrespective of which exalted f identities are involved. Let the high court members make their unbiased comments for interested outsiders to fully consider, to ponder. Why bother to judge, when India's judicial system does not include juries. Rather, trial examinations and irrefutable judicial opinion emerging from these hearings expressed by highly intelligent thinkers, unlike in systems where jury members lean unwittingly to rhetorical influence and the persuasive oratory of skilled prosecutors and defense attorneys, more likely to yield a perfect justice. Then public opinion is likewise more informed and FIT to judge based on informed court pronouncements.

Many of us come to this blog to read about RSSB news so please keep posting Brian!! Folks, why can’t Delhi HC just get the ITR’s directly from the Income Tax department? What if GSD forges these documents? I still don’t see GSD getting criminally indicted here...at best this looks like a civil case where if the money trail is found, he will be asked to return it back...remember Malvinder/Shivinder gave their money voluntarily to the Baba...

sonia says what if his tax returns showing nothing incriminating (which I can assure you will happen) are shared to the court?
obviously if this was the case, he would have already shared the same. nobody cares to hide information if there is no reason. If a person is not guilty why would be act like a guilty person. when Dhillon and family were asked to appear before the court all they had to do was simply appear and clear their name. Instead they all chose to give some excuse and now sabnam Dhillon has passed away also. Is this how a satguru who is honest and decent and has nothing to hide will act? If he acts this way, what example does it set for his followers? certainly his guru and the one before (sawan singh) never got into such controversial matters. On the whole they acted morally and with a high standard of honesty. This is the first time in history that the honesty and integrity of an RSSB guru has been bought into question.

I'd like to point out how the agents of RSSB, aka Sonia, almost immediately become alerted to water down what has happened to her god, GSD,and how she tried to divert and manipulate the agenda. Gurinder Singh Dhillan should be SACKED with immediate effect from his post as the so called god/word made flesh of RSSB. He is a walking contradiction to what he preaches on stage. Charan would be turning in his grave, and kicking himself that he has left this clown who has given the game away about the truth of RSSB agenda. The truth being that RSSB is a total fake made up whirl wind brainwashing mind virus of an organisation, rather like a parasite that tricks people into wiling give there power away. Keep exposing these fake con artist, including his agents. Well done Brian, you are an example of strength in a world that is and always was corrupt to the core. Don't let these agents box you in and label you in any way to demonize and destroy your character, they are desperate and on the back foot.

I guess moral of the story is Karmas always going to come back and bite you on the bum and theres no getting away from that is there GSD. Render unto Caesar... no more!
With our efforts and His grace, if we've ascended even a bit, this wouldn't matter to us.
HE is a true Master and spreading enormous grace.
Too immature to compare the Lord with the kinds of Ram Raheem etc.
If we don't even have the capacity and wisdom to differentiate b/w Ram Raheem, Asaram and GSD,
then we are too immature on The Path.
Brian, tell me if this is not true... ever since the GSD QnA started streaming on youtube,
this blog's views must have fallen at least by 80% ... I can see the number of comments have fallen by 80%
Majority of the visitors of this blog coming here not for the hatred or things depicted against the Master, but to read some of the beautiful positive comments.
Now they have access to the Master's own videos of the blissful QnA videos which are full of positivity.
These youtube videos have helped numerous souls in coming back to The Path who got drifted away.
Exers are now just waiting to have a peep inside His ITR and will then start a new discussion when you will find out how much He earned, spent, invested and saved.
what a pity! a sad situation to be in... wasting our precious lifetime.
If we think He isn't the One,
we should help ourself finding a True Master.
We shouldn't waste this precious life.
Think of the last breath we are going to breathe,
we don't even know where we will be heading thereafter. boy o boy.
lengthening our path with bunch of more births,
just because we trusted the fake govts. of fake nations more than the True Masters.
If we think we don't even need a Master,
then the life is already wasted.

Anyone devoted to the Path is going to see this in a different context.
Anyone not devoted to the path, but living by spiritual principles, is going to see this from a different context.
And anyone with an axe to grind against RSSB or Gurinder, injustice or religion, is also going to view this from a different context.
From the position of devotion, there will be the presumption, built of personal experience, that more is going on than we know which justifies what has happened and what is happening. Their hypothesis as to what and why will be that somehow Gurinder is always acting from the highest spiritual motives, and the power of that highest spirituality.
From the position of one who may know little about RSSB but who is grounded in spirituality, who believes from their experience of spirit in spirituality, they will acknowledge also that there is always more going on.
The view from the Spiritual context is that we are part of a larger system, and the guilt or innocence of anyone does not sanctify nor condemn them. The same spirit lives in all. That is actually most important. We are all brothers and sisters. People innocent or guilty are also part of God's creation, each struggling in their own way. The only purpose of a judgment is to guide how best we personally can offer to help. Rather than condemnation,, the spiritual devotee simply strives to understand and in all circumstances offers mercy and helpfulness to their brothers and sisters. . And they are careful to avoid casting judgment unless they are also offering to help. They see judgment has no purpose except to guide their own helpfulness, but can more often get in the way of helpfulness.
There is no such thing as injustice to them. No one is a hero, no one is a villain. We are all products of creation and circumstances largely outside our understanding and control. We are all grains of sand, but each with a divine spark within that is a real hero, the only hero.
They see the different stories people live by are a universal part of humanity. No one lives free of those stories, but they are different for each
The person with an axe to grind against Gurinder, religion or injustice will loudly proclaim this is clear further evidence of his guilt.
Each individual will make their own determination. They won't be the same.
The information presented is a part of reality, always partial. We will put it together each for our own truth, within our own context.

1. “I still don’t see GSD getting criminally indicted here. At best this looks like a civil case where if the money trail is found, he will be asked to return it back.
2. Remember Malvinder/Shivinder gave their money voluntarily to the Baba.”
To take point 2 first. Yeah, they "voluntarily gave" it to a man they believed as being the human representative of the Divine Almighty. They therefore regarded advice from him as a divine imperative to be followed implicitly. Surely that degree of devoted trust and submission of a 'disciple' deserves a higher level of reciprocal loyalty and acceptance of responsibility from the 'guru' than Gurinder has been showing up to now?
And as we all know, Malav and Shiv are now in jail under investigation for fraud.
The fraudulent illegal behaviour started around 2003. Their inherited family business Ranbaxy began increasingly to incease its profits in its production of derivative cheap pharmaceuticals by fraudulently cutting corners on safety and quality control through deceiving/bribing quality inspectors [”falsified test results on several drugs”].
When that was revealed by the whistleblower Mr.Thakur in 2008 and their product was banned from import to the USA during investigation, Malvinder and his brother Shivinder— presumably with the advice and agreement of their family board members and thus Gurinder — sold their share of the ailing company to a Japanese company Daiichi while withholding info on the problems. Daiichi later discovered to their cost the problems and made a legal appeal.
DAIICHI 2008 PRESS RELEASE:
"Daiichi Sankyo believes that certain former shareholders of Ranbaxy concealed and misrepresented critical information concerning the U.S. DOJ and FDA investigations. Daiichi Sankyo is currently pursuing its available legal remedies..."
https://www.daiichisankyo.com/media_investors/media_relations/press_releases/detail/005976.html
Malvinder now alleges that part of the proceeds from the stake sale in Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd was used by Gurinder Singh Dhillon to buy real estate.
So to answer your question (point 1): as I understand it, Gurinder was a 'sleeping board member' of Ranbaxy at that time of the cost cutting deceptions and safety/quality inspection frauds. Therefore he was complicit, whether knowingly or unknowingly.
Plus he profited from the deceptive sale of Ranbaxy to Daiichi. So again complicit in illegal activity.
And yet he is refusing to repay his own unearned profit from that deceptive sale. I write 'unearned' because the 'work' was being done by his cousin Nimi's sons Malvinder and Shivinder. They devotedly permitted him to share in the wealth they were increasingly deceitfully generating for being on the board and giving 'advice'.
So not only did he himself not 'earn' the Ranbaxy wealth that he was permitted to share, but instead he is now allowing his close relative and disciple-ex-devotee Malvinder, take the punishment for a 'crime' he benefited from, and was knowingly or unknowingly complicit in.
Even if he did not know about the prolonged deceptive Ranbaxy practice by which he and his family became fabulously wealthy, he definitely DID know about the later fraudulent movement of money gained from its deceptive sale. Malvinder is claiming that was done without his knowledge by Gurinder, via his brother Shivinder. That alone — if true— strikes many as extremely disloyal, ungrateful and reprehensible behaviour.
Plus the movement of the money into shell companies in his wife and sons's names to avoid transparency, cheated and defrauded share holders.
So, as I understand it, if THAT action is deemed by the official investigation to have been deception and fraud it will be judged “illegal” and will be totally Gurinder's responsibility.

Well said Chris I totally agree with you, GSD actually believes he is god, and can therefore get away with everything even though its fraud, deception for his own personal gain and bottomless greed. In fact GSD is a serious psychopath, as he would put his own nephews, his own family in harm's way just so he can remain innocent of the crimes he has done. This is why he hides as a perfect saint.
People you can also see how deluded "one initiated" is , can you blame this agent of RSSB when he is completely brainwashed and someone else is pulling his strings.

There is no cure for stupidity.
It's called witchcraft, witch GSD knows all to well about. The sleight of the hand, evil manipulation on the whole of mankind.
It's what sheep do and you know where they end up? At the supermarket packed nicely. Never a good idea I'm sure you would agree.
Waking up, has a whole new meaning than being part of some selfish evil radicalised cult. Being free is our very own birthright but only a few will make it. Choose wisely or forever live in pitifully regrets. Bad Baba habits will lead you on a path of misery which eventually ends up in Hell. Thank God not satan (GSD)

Thanks Chris for your insight on my 2 questions. You do have a valid point on the Baba being a silent partner who profited by all the illegal activities however with GSD’s clout in India, he may very well get this matter sorted out under a civil rather than a criminal ruling. Let’s all hope that the truth prevails in the end.

Hi Nick Ny.
Yes GSD undoubtedly has more influence than most in India, so may well be able to get his involvement and actions sorted in a 'civil' rather than 'criminal' ruling.
My concern is for Malvinder Singh, who appears to be being unjustly regarded as the villain in the scenario by loyal Indian devotees.
My concern is that the influencers who can get GSD a 'civil' ruling may unjustly make Malvinder the 'criminal' scapegoat to achieve that.

Ram Raheem also thought he was above the law.
He also had paid off the politicians.
But sooner or later, someone refuses to take a bribe and prefers to be honest rather than think about his pocket.
Ram Raheem was convinced he would be declared 'not guilty'
sooner or later the piper has to be paid.
Malvinder did warn him that this would happen if he did not help out. That is what happened. If GSD had helped Malvinder, they would not have lost control of the company they were defrauding.
And nobody would have been any the wiser.
malvinder and shivinder would still have control of all the companies and none of this would be public information.
Posted by: suspicious-ME | September 15, 2020 at 07:45 AM
Sonia, I read the book when it first came out months ago. It paints a picture of the entire Indian Pharma industry in a shockingly bad light. Malvinder's behavior is quite outlandish, but you have to realize that the entire board was predominantly RSSB people. So what are these people approving with their oversight? Plenty of blame to go around on this. And you think GSD had no clue what was going on with his protege Shivinder watching and/or complicit in these actions?
Malvinder looks bad here, but I have a feeling they've all left him out to hang; he's realized this and so wants to take the rest with him. Who calls out their guru/Uncle/Cousin like this publicly? Takes a lot of guts and desperation if you ask me. It would appear to be a level of truth in there somewhere but we can't know until more info is released. That's my take it on it anyway.

Not really. I mean that article is accurate but until you immerse yourself in the 400+ pages of the book you can't fully appreciate the magnitude. It's truly impossible to summarize and yet the book itself is a summary of the events. It's mind-boggling. I highly recommend it to anyone whether you're interested in Ranbaxy/Singhs or not because it's a tremendous eye-opener into the pitfalls plaguing the generic drug business. Katherine Eban narrates it quite nicely on Audible.
And, yeah, you'll look at the Singhs a little differently--starting with Bhai Mohan, but especially Parvinder even though they barely touch on his role. Parvinder oversaw the more than questionable practices taking place at Ranbaxy for 20 years before his sons were ever involved.

What will the tax returns show?
Only that most of this money was never declared as income. Because it was laundered in and out again.
If the money was declared as income, on the tax returns, it strengthens the case that these weren't loans. They were gifts, fully declared and taxes paid. That puts the burden right back on Malvinder and Shivinder.
If it wasn't declared as income, it's tax evasion. And must be paid back with jail time.
Gurinder already described these as loans. Personal family loans, but using OTM :other people's money. He may claim he didn't know. That's his only case. The Guru didn't know. Or the Guru pretended not to know, and allowed the scheme to take place.... Or worse.
All those RSSB senior leaders serving in management positions at the shell companies that laundered the money into his accounts paints a story.
But we still don't really know, do we?

Manoj
You are quite harsh on GSD.
But looking at the largest Covid hospital in the world constructed on RSSB land, built with the help of sevadars, the picture is most certainly not one sided.
Martin Luther King Jr had a dream, a vision that inspired peaceful protest by hundreds of millions of people around the world to this day. He was a theologian. But he also had his own personal weaknesses. Yet as far as men go, he was a great man.
A similar statement could be made about John F. Kennedy.
Rather than be shocked by the apparent weaknesses of others I think we ought to take a balanced view, a realistic view. If we are all flawed, I would prefer to be inspired by a flawed leader who inspired service to humanity, flaws and all, then by a cynic who chose as their art criticism over creation. I'll take a creator, a builder, a maker over a critic any day. Because as far as flaws go, we all have feet of clay. Nothing new there.
We should try to help each other up as best we can.
And Gurinder, for all his apparent human failings, has been a mighty builder also, and not just of buildings and centers, but of a way of living that places the responsibility squarely upon our own shoulders.
Don't get me wrong, no one does that very well. But if you can inspire others to do good works, that counts. That may be the greatest good any flawed human being can hope to accomplish.
We want our leaders without any imaginary flourishes, but we are largely fictional writers, mostly of our own story, so it's unavoidable.
As we look at the hard facts, let's be sure to do so with an equally balanced context.
Posted by: Spence Tepper | September 15, 2020 at 07:45 PM
Spence, no one sees our leaders as “God in Human Form”, do they?
Your point about some historically great leaders being flawed is a fair one, but they weren’t worshipped by millions?
In most cases, these leaders are scrutinised heavily and then their leadership tested during an election campaign. If we’re unhappy, we simply get a new one
There is no such mechanism to evaluate GSD’s performance, is there? As we can see just from this blog, the RSSB followers simply can’t compute GSD’s immoral actions and his utter greed
Perhaps, having brought disgrace to his supreme position for several years now, it’s time for GSD to, finally show some real leadership, and step down now
Posted by: JS | September 15, 2020 at 10:01 PM
Hi JS
I don't think GSD should step down at all. He's done a great job
Do you really expect only a god in human form to become a guru? Hello! That doesn't exist, remember?
LOL. It doesn't exist. It's an embellishment. And people believe what they choose.
But as far as a human being filling the role, flaws and all, which is all we will get, I think he's done a great job. He's a guy in that culture, but he's doing well to raise the thinking above all that as best he can. He's a fine leader as far as human beings with their own prejudices can get.

@ GSD’s immoral actions and his utter greed
Ah, that's why a blog visionary is needed. One who can
inform those blind idiots they've been duped by a greedy
disgraced baba and chronicle his corruption faster than
a seedy tabloid could ever rush it to print.
It's obvious. Take a peek at his face on past blog posts. That
reddish hue in his aura. The wicked twist at the corner of his
lips. The barely contained sneer. Is he lost in thought? Yep,
probably calculating the crores of loot he's amassed for a
well-deserved retirement in Singapore.
Don't bother waiting for courts. Ignore the judicial mumbo-
jumbo, the tiresome legal nuance, the forsenic audits, the
testimony, the indictments. A blog savant already knows
how these things will play out. He knows it in his gut!
Order in the court. Bailiff, escort those noisy rssb sheep out
of my cortroom! Alright, that's better. Now, where was I... oh
yes.
To avoid a protracted trial and any more pandemonium not
to speak of a long winded thread on Brian Ji's Churchless
blog, I'll skip directly to the verdict. Do I even need to say it?
Nah. Bailif, cuff the defendant!

As you may recall, GSD stated his family no longer owned shares in REL.
https://m.economictimes.com/industry/healthcare/biotech/pharmaceuticals/radha-soami-chief-admits-to-financial-dealings-with-singh-brothers/articleshow/72058229.cms
"According to the affidavit, Dhillon has disclosed that his sons sold off some shares in 2011 which they had purchased in 2006. The rest of the shares, according to Dhillon’s affidavit were 'pledged to the lenders in connection with loans taken to facilitate share purchase transaction for the benefit of Malvinder and Shivinder. The pledges were invoked and the shares were sold at a substantial loss,' it said. Resultantly, the family doesn’t own REL shares, he claims."
If true, it's very likely to be reflected in their income tax returns. The sale of stock at a loss is a "capital loss." Capital losses reduce your overall tax bill. If the Dhillons really did dispose of all their REL, the impetus to report it in their ITR's was strong. Wouldn't they have accountants to make sure they got every deduction? The court can use the tax documents as a check against Gurinder's version of events. Do the Dhillons owe the Singhs or the Singhs owe the Dhillons, and who might have money to repay Daiichi?

Manoj
You are quite harsh on GSD.
But looking at the largest Covid hospital in the world constructed on RSSB land, built with the help of sevadars, the picture is most certainly not one sided.
So what you have here is a manipulating GSD attempting to deliver a covid hospital in return for some brownie points to get the authorities on his side how typically GSD low life leach. GSD in his whole selfish life has never done a dime unless there was a return. Hes looking at some sort of last minute hope and help to get himself out of the mess hes made. What a joke and a pathetic attempt, how bribesome. A small calculating man to be GSD is a sin to itself. Rott Behind Bars Bent Baba of Beas.

@anami
Perhaps the Singh's owe the Dhillons and the "severe prejudice" referred to was in the Dhillons favor. What if the baba was trying to protect the Singhs? Just to show everybody... keep them guessing... give them enough rope to hang themselves. Your guess is as good as mine, but read the link to the article about "round tripping" that I included in a comment on today's blog post. It's not necessarily illegal. In some cases it's not illegal at all. The article explains it.

I find it totally unbelievable that you, spensor, can stick up for Gurinder singh dhillan, and justify it that he is just a person with human tendencies. You would say Hitler was a nice man in just the same way even though he ordered the killing of millions of Jews. GSD and RSSB suppose to stands for high moral and ethical standards and that are seen as superior to all religions. I can remember when he was introduced by a head sevadar as a perfect param sant from the highest regions , and GSD didn't flinch about or didn't deny it. GSD is a dangerous impostor, he clearly is hiding behind a so called guru in an organisation hell bent on growing an empire. He needs to go, and all of RSSB needs to be dissolved immediatly as an organisation that is corrupt and hypocritrity. The sangat will no dought need therapy , but time will heal all.

3. Do not make people feel weak and vulnerable during Q&A, especially the ones with suicidal tendencies

@Sonia, I would tell people to go away and never come back as now you are free, your chains are broken from the slavery they called seva . Go rediscover your families you have neglected so much, go maintain your own properties , go meet your friends in the park or the pub, go make a career and chase your dreams, enjoy your life. You were always free upto the point that you got trapped and gave your power away to this parasitic organism called RSSB and cult leader a

Well, the red and white buildings are practical. They’re cost efficient, orderly, neat and house thousands of people. It’s like a college campus. (I only miss the old tea house.)
The Dera lets anyone in... not sure if that’s a good thing or not. Perhaps Westerners with a history of using shrooms will adapt easier.
And as for the Q&A’s, Baba Ji has his own personality. He was tasked with an assignment that would seem impossible or insurmountable to most. It takes a certain personality type to accomplish everything he has done. That said, he’s always had a soft heart. He appears more mellow now after all these years. But the other factor is us. Sometimes we don’t believe we have a strong ego because we don’t think of ourselves as arrogant. However, anyone who has a very strong will naturally has a very strong ego and that ego is what separates us from those who disagree with us. The ego also likes to blow things way out of proportion to keep us from settling our differences with others. It makes us unforgiving. If we can put our personality differences, personal opinions and petty grudges aside we might just find that what we actually have is a really good friend.

What you write is a way of doing things and also a way of seeing things.
I wonder if there are many people that are "free" in absolute sense.
Most if not all describe themselves in terms of their relation to a country, political party, and many other socio cultural personal preferences .... I am American, democratic, baptist etc etc etc.
The way they describe themselves and are seen by others in that capacity differs from person to person.
To me for example, it is obvious that the way people behave as members of this religious spiritual community, shows their roots in the way they were brought up in a given culture, society and in particular their "religion by birth" ..... born American protestants deal with it in a different way than born say Hindu or Sikh Indian.
Yes there are those who deal with their membership in an unhealthy way but not all. For some their membership in the eighties saved them from, addiction to drugs, prison or even death.
Your opposition has it roots in your personal experiences, opinions, believes etc without any objective reason outside yourself.
Things are what they are
seldom what they look like
let alone how they are presented and/or seen by people with interests.

From an American perspective, this is the most ridiculous celebrity gossip article I’ve read. A few years ago Shahid Kapoor starred in Udta Punjab, a movie about the drug problem in the Punjab. It was a very entertaining film but serious too. He played the part of a rockstar with a serious drug problem and how that influenced his audience and groupies. Then he got sober and tried to set a better example for his audience. It also exposed the dark world of drug cartels operating in Punjab and how police often assist these criminals in exchange for bribes.
Seriously, watch the film.

One of GSDs perfect disciples actor Shahid Kapoor?
Not sure where you got that from but he's not a perfect disciple. What is a perfect disciple anyway?
He's been heard in every 'indoor' session of Q&A with GSD along with his wife asking juvenile questions around life in general. In the last Q&A, he asked about drugs and marriage/ relationships. On drugs, BBJ told him he's not particularly fond of people seeking peace of mind through recreational drugs when drugs do nothing more than altering your state of mind for the time being or something along those lines.
As for those videos of him at the bollywood rave party, he said he felt out of place which his host did not appreciate apparently. Nevermind, I never liked Shahid Kapoor, I think he's a hormone raged clown and a far cry from being GSD's or anyone's perfect disciple. But why judge him. Karpal once said - when asked is initiation pre-ordained / pre-destined - that yes, it (initiation) is destined, which is why you'll find people who are initiated seemingly unworthy and think they don't even deserve to be initiated, how did they even get initiation? But we don't know their past, we hardly know ours.
Anyway, how does that make GSD the culprit anyway? Great Master's son had become addicted to alcohol. Sardar Bahadur's son committed suicide. The Masters have always been against such acts. Now I don;t know if you're simply a GSD hater or an RSSB/Sant Mat philosophy hater. Because if it's the latter, you'll say - exactly, see mine point? It's a scam. And I won't blame you. a

I can remember reports of Shahid kapoor being asked to sit next to GSD where he was displayed aground like a prize dog. Now that hes been caught red handed in so called drug parties , isnt it hypocritical that RSSB want to distance from him. Take responsibility GSD , they say like attracts like . RSSB is nothing but a mafia front, when you recruit/ initiate people for self gain. I don’t have clue what you’re trying to say here. Drugs are a problem in every culture on the planet. I bet even aliens have drug problems. (maybe that’s why they come to earth... 🤔)
Nothing special about Bollywood as far as drugs goes.
Besides, if every Religion/spiritual group that has a famous person as a member we’re held responsible for that celebrity’s behavior, then all the Faiths would be on trial. And you really have no idea if Shahid is guilty or not.

What exactly constitutes a “mature” question at Q & A? I almost prefer the juvenile questions to the predictable ones. I especially like it when people ask really crazy questions like totally from left field but I don’t think many people living at the Dera are that brave. And they would most likely get edited out anyway.

Everybody acts as he deems fit and has to face the consequences thereof.
We can judge their actions if we like, we need not.
Our judgments inform us about who and what we are not about what we judge.
We go to the market out of free will to scream and shout and throw garbage to those in the pillory.
It has nothing to do with the person in the pillory nor with the reasons that brought him there.
Those in the pillory and what they did are just an excuse for venting opinions,
The selective abomination is mostly not caused by the person in the pillory
Long ago a friend taught me a lesson by saying again and again ....
Yes, your are right but why does it upset you.
In the beginning I thought he did nt understand, as every person would react as i did if they would understand. So again, I would explain it to him in even moor detail and again he gave the same answer.
And again and again ... how blind could one be. He never gave up the answer. After some time I came to understand what he said ... He DID understand from the beginning the complaint, he even agreed but THAT by itself should not be a reason to get upset ... it is a choice.
We are not born to know the truth of everything said, nor to be the different role s we play, or to know all that can be known on the Internet, let alone to judge and form opinions on everything or feel responsible.
We were born FREE ... we do bind ourselves to the world and the things therein and thinking the world did it to us makes it almost impossible to free ourselves again from these self made bonds.
Opinions are not forced upon us by the world ... WE ... form them.

I’ve never had a feminist agenda. What a memory you have, though. My comment to Gurus Inc or Dera Inc (I can’t remember which one said it) was a joke. I was poking fun at the Dera because they said there might be a female guru next and asked me what’s the first thing I would do if I were guru. But I wasn’t actually being serious in that particular comment.
It’s not the Ranbaxy thing. It was a whole bunch of things that happened in the timespan of about a week. A lot of things I learned which I’m not going to share.

I have been reading the comments from quite some time and really enjoying the healthy debate from all different view points. I can see that Manoj is just here to spread hatred for RSSB and Babaji. Many people here asked him about his faith and his path but he never reveals that coz he is afraid that others would start pointing out the downfalls and not so good sides of his faith too. Be logical Manoj, every path comes with its merits and demerits. What comforts one may not suit other. One man’s food is another man’s poison as Babaji often says. So tell what is the faith that you follow and why do you think it’s perfect- if you have guts answer this else stop spiting venom.

As for faith you need to put that within yourself and within the One we all call God. And yes it's perfect isn't it. You don't need to depend on a lying manipulative Fake Fraudulent Baba do you, when God is omnipresent. Remember the saying threes a crowd? exactly it is.
As for your futile attempts to cover up for GSDs criminal antics, well how long do you think you can do that for? @ Speaking the truth isn't hatred, it's the truth! Deal with it.
There are provable facts to support assertions of truth however.
Courts insist on them. Opinion, rumor, insinuation, allegation,
conspiracy theory, even a blog consensus, don't magically
become believable and certainly not valid legal evidence.
It'd be far more credible to frame your opinions with some
disclaimer such as "although not proven in court there's
strong anecdotal evidence that Baba Ji is a no-good,
low-down fraud guilty of unspeakable greed, death
threats, and, yes, even conspiring in a plot on Shabnam's
life to cover his own crimes. Let me detail for you why I
think he will burn in hell."
A measured tone and insistence on provable fact will
help rather than hurt your cause.

This is off topic so it may not get published. But something interesting. Just came across this from one of the Q&As with GSD.
https://youtu.be/btpWNhkZuZQ
I can understand Punjabi so for those who can't, wait until the subtitled video comes out.
Another old age dogma written in the old RSSB literature challenged by GSD. He has said before - "koi khabbe passe kal, sajje passe dayal nahi hai. Sab mann hai." There is sodding Kal on the left and Sat Purush on the right- when hearing the siund current. It's all (in) your mind.
Mind is kal. Mind or kal itself does the simran at initial stages - call it higher mind or noble mind.
Kal is evil in RSSB philosophy. It is even mentioned in the Gurbani as the negative force and it is especially significant in RSSB philosophy. Soami Ji's bani mentions Kal frequently.
GSD has also often broken the myth that Master takes upon himself the karmas of the disciple.
Babaji Maharaj said he has already done bhajan of a few billion/ crore souls (cant recall exact number). But I am sure GSD will break that myth too.

I am surprised ... where and when did I defended him or whatever you wrote about me??
There is the pillory in the market
There is an accused/convicted subject in the pillory
There are those who come to the market to shout names and express there opinion on the subject.
Now think ....
Not all people leave their houses to go to that market to vent their emotions.
That leaving ones house, going to the market, is an act of personal will, it is achoice; a choice that has nothing to do with the subject in the pillory, nothing at all.
Hiding behind the the facts the subject is accused of or convicted for, is pointed out by Sartre as alse loyalty and false honesty"
Why?
Instead of leaving ones house one can read a book or whatever and leaving ones house one can go for another activity, have a drink in a bar or whatever.
The legal institutions, are there to see to the facts.
Ask your self why you write as you do without finding justification in him.
Take an example in the soldiers of the IDA who have an site, Breaking the silence" where they discuss their own behaviour without finding faults with the Palestinians. They do that for a reason .... their own morality as human being.

I am capable enough to understand the difference between logical criticism and hatred. Your comments smell of just hatred. As for Babaji I am no one to cover up for him. Let the legal system decide but till then it’s all hearsay. You talk of truth but your truth is 99%speculative... Babaji speaks far more truth than you can ever digest. People like Brian, Spence and many others speak from their personal experience so their comments are logically understandable whereas yours are abusive, hollow and spiteful. Again you ducked my question coz you r afraid. You can’t even say boldly in what you believe. What do you think is a perfect way or is their no way. Say it......

For those who have read my comments, it must be clear that I never have expressed my opinions about the man in the pillory.
What should I be ashamed of?

@ Dragon Slayer
The teachings of most if not all mystic paths iare just an HYPOTHESIS about facts and the relation between them.
As with all hypothesis, it can only be proved by EXPERIMENT.
If you are in a city where you don know the way, you will ask a by-passer the way to whatever you want to go. The answer is an hypothesis for you and following his directions, finding whatever you wanted, is the experiment and the experience. No need to make a drama about the man that told you how to reach your goal.
The same holds for any mystic path ...
On going to school, one can go there:
* because one wants to learn something for ones own good and nothing else
or
* because one is forced by the parents or community to a particular school
* because one likes the teacher
* because of the many good friend to play with
* because one wants to escape an situation
* because one expects certain profits from going to school
* because etc etc etc.
In the end all participants have to play their own roles and have their own goals and are only together for a short while .....The society, the school, the board, the teachers, the students etc.
The interests of the student in going to school are different and apart from those of the teacher, teaching and the members of the board that rule the school.
These days the roles get mixed up and students thing it their duty to say how the teacher should teach, and how the school has to be organized etc ... they just expanded their tasks and see themselves as unpayed and unappointed board members.
And to answer you question a little .... I have been emotional and intellectual attracted to certain teachings and teachers in my life. That attraction or the opposite thereof speaks about me, my mental make up, and cannot and should not be seen as an qualification of any teaching or teacher.
I was taught the art and craft of making ice cream ... with the customers we would discuss the taste ...THEIR taste. With colleagues we would discuss the ice cream in terms of art and craft. We never allowed a consumer into those debates as they have no understanding of the practice as they have not mastered it.
Dragon slayer you are like a customer that wants me to prove the skills of an ice cream maker without tasting the ice cream and if you ever did, you would use your taste as touch stone for his skills ... that is not how it works.
And the ice cream maker has nothing to do with what other customers tell about him. They can go around and speak about as they deem fit. You can lent your ears to what they have to say .. that is up to you
And .... if in the end the ice cream is not to the liking of the people the maker has to close his shop but that doesn't mean there was something wrong with his skills and art.
Why would anybody go to an ice cream shop but for his own pleasure.
But Some love to have an argument with those customers who claim he is the BEST ice cream maker in town...

Dragon slayer,
A few questions for you.
What is "God?" What is "perfection?" What is the ultimate truth? When has all of humanity agreed on any one subject?
Please share your understanding.

My question was:
@dev @um @Sonia Give me 5 reasons why GSD is unquestionable GOD, the word made flesh, the Param sant, the perfect example for all humanity; the savior, the ultimate truth????
So @um you failed to answer my question with even 1 reason and went off course , and @dev you went into splitting hairs in definitions. I rest my case !!!!!
GSD is a fraudster, a Charlatan, and self serving. He needs to go to the courts to prove his innocence and stop hiding. Time to spend some quality time with rssb brother Ram Rahim, MSG (messenger of god) in Dehli Jail.
