Not sure if my last post will even get published, but I should add that as much hard criticism as I will present about Punjabi or Sikh culture, I actually like the people a lot. It's the disparity between the self beliefs and myths of cultures and their realities that bothers me, and it's massive in that one culture in particular. And like all bad things, I think people need to hear frequently and be reminded that they're not who they think they are.

I'm equally bothered by european supremacists who can't admit that the pathagorean theorem was probably not from a guy named pythagoras because they fantasize about white people having invented literally every single thing ever, or Christians, especially the Orthodox, who deny their bloody history and pretend like they've done nothing but feed the poor and pray for 2000 years.

It's kind of odd though that in this supposed enlightened age of science people refuse use available data to see through a lot of these sorts of myths of innocence unless it's pop-culture approved. We're too busy scientifically believing in equality to observe certain ugly realities that might hurt feelings. FBI took down charts literally because demographically parsed crime data offended people. Doctors in UK, knowing that certain kinds of religious garb would be unsanitary and cause infections in patients, chose to allow doctors to wear their magical bracelets and long modesty sleeves during surgery because not allowing them to would be insensitive. The government chose death of innocent medical patients over harming the feelings of foreign people from warrior cultures.

We're in the dark ages.

@Jesse

Well, thanks for the education... there’s always more than meets the eye. I’ve always felt a strong affinity for Sikhs—not sure why. But I appreciate your insider view.

Regardless of what’s happening in the Punjab, mental health in all of South Asia is in a state of crisis.

It’s funny, in Africa (in the rural parts) the men have to pay a dowry to the parents of the bride.

Yes, - In arab countries too.
Who can tell about muslims in India

When ther's intermarriage between Hindu or Sikhs - they pay both ?

Hindu Fathers with many daughters going financially broke
could seek muslim boys or is that inviting a death penalty?
I hate religions and their ways!

Another reason why arranged marriages in our modern society should be considered a crime. Getting married and having kids is something people shouldn’t feel like they have to do. It’s nice to have a partner to share things with but it’s not like the world needs more people. As much as I love kids, there are plenty of orphans who need good homes.

I just think the Asian view towards marriage is a bit tribal to say the least.

Do they do arranged marriages in China?

Yes, this PC culture is getting on my last nerve. I must admit it really, really annoys me. I’m all for being considerate of people’s feelings, but we’re creating a culture where everyone looks for a reason to feel like a victim.

I don’t know how many times my nieces will share with me an issue that their group of friends are having and I’m like 🤦‍♀️

It’s like their generation sits around and comes up with new things to take offense to. My reaction is always, “are you serious??” I listen to them respectfully and then offer an alternative perspective. And then I make fun of them. 😜

We're in the dark ages.

Posted by: Jesse | May 26, 2020 at 10:24 PM

And you are a beacon of light shining through the darkness. 😂

You’re intensity and passion is more often appreciated than not. Sometimes you’re a bit much but I appreciate your viewpoint if only for the fact that it is thought provoking.

I’m wondering if you’re like a triple scorpion or just bp. 😆

Wait until you see some of the other characters that roll outa the woodwork. All totally whacko without doubt. Dulalee crackers in the pip.

If you want to know about a culture that has lost touch with reality. His 19 y/o pothead gay lover accidentally blows his own brains out and ole Tiger King makes the funeral about himself. Humanity hey, no fking clue, and then we got the scientists who explaining meaning to us...

Ja look that racial profiling I never been a fan of, because it relies on gross generalizations, which often dont apply.

So while the 100m final is likely to continue to be dominated by ppl from west Africa with an unusually high-density of fast-twitch muscle fibers, and marathons will continue to be deminated by long-distance runners from East Africa for either genetic and/or geographic altitude reasons - that doesn’t mean anything.

One errant miscopied dna gene or combination might mean the next 100m champion comes outa Mexico.

As for intelligence, there are many different forms which science hasn’t been able to fathom, and the tests are culturally biased, but even if they not, even if there was some genetic predisposition of day, ain’t it the askrjazi Jews (not the arian Europeans) who got the most brilliant ppl on earth (or have the most Nobel prize winners) - this means jackshit.

You could still have a bloke coming outa sunsaharan Africa whose genetic lottery makes him brighter than everyone else. Statistically if there’s 10 genius in every 100,000 ppl there might be a slightly more or less genius in certain population as compared to others, but it’s neither here nor there, negligible.

Culture is the habits and norms people tend to adopt. Some cultures are arguably better suited for certain kinds of tasks or progress than others. For example, if one were to generalize one might say that the west has a more liberal outlook on marriage and sex, while the East takes a more traditional view. Which is better? For you to decide, but I’d suggest the idea of family and community is far stronger in the East than the west.

I’ve yet to meet a culture that has has a person who has not been warlike or loving. Sparta and Athens were neighboring states with virtually identical genetic material with different cultures, but different individuals within each culture too. In general the Spartans were more warlike and uncompromise, whereas the Athenians more intellectual and dandy-like.

I’ve yet to find a perfectly good or bad culture or country. In my experience, it’s more individuals who are good or bad, or maybe more accurately, have characteristics that you more closely align with or not.

One of my current friends is a Chinese guy straight from communist China, believes chairman Mao is a great philosopher. I laugh my arse off. One of the nicest ppl I know. Don’t judge a book by its cover, culture is skin deep.

If you attended high school in the sixties or seventies or watched CBS shows like 60 minutes or The Twenty First Century you saw the amazing microbiology films of Dr. Roman Vishniac. He was the world's leading photographer of microscopic life. To him these were new worlds to explore. But in recent years his photography of life for dispossessed children who were murdered during Hitler's rise has overshadowed his first love of microbiology.

" I’ve always felt a strong affinity for Sikhs—not sure why. But I appreciate your insider view."

It's an outsider view. Insiders rarely see the sorts of flaws I'm talking about.

There are obviously a huge number of really great Sikhs in the world, and there's nothing wrong with the ideals of the religion. But they're in a really bad position right now. The instinct to blame Brahmins, blame the British or whatever else they're doing helps nobody.

Someone mentioned the dowry thing as it pertains to some Africans and Arabs. I don't know anything about that, but I've heard Muslim men have to give some amount of money upfront to their fiances which is what Hindus and Sikhs should start doing. I've told Indians many times that they should be like Muslims because right now there is high demand for wives due to the skewed sex ratio. Were I the father of a daughter there's no way I'd be paying dowry. Women have a lot of untapped power right now.

"Statistically if there’s 10 genius in every 100,000 ppl there might be a slightly more or less genius in certain population as compared to others, but it’s neither here nor there, negligible."

So first you say some groups are more intelligent on average than others, then you say others don't produce any geniuses, but hypothetically could produce one genius which makes us all the same....Yikes, Georgy.

You obviously don't keep up on the science or have any clue whatsoever what you're talking about. Unless you mistakenly think that the word negligible means something of great significance and consequence. But it's ok. We can't all read about the same things.

There's reasons why some places on earth literally never create or invent anything, haven't ever figured out how to get clean water on their own, or in some cases didn't make a connection between feces and illness, or sex and procreation after tens of thousands of years of existence. The opposite is true as well and explains why, as one example, some castes (breeding groups) in India are greatly overrepresented in math and science achievements than others even though they legally have less access to education at this point due to all the quotas. Hint- people whose brains are hardwired to learn can't not do it. They will be autodidacts and create education if it isn't provided.

If we talked about height or any other trait that was determined to a large degree by genes nobody would care. You don't care that one ethnic group is shorter or taller because you don't measure intrinsic human value by meters or inches. But why do we measure human value by the products that come about by having higher cranial volume? It's no more or less absurd than using height. So one group paints more detailed pictures and has sophisticated plumbing. Does that make them better? Not to me. It just makes us very different and needing of our own places where we can express our cultures as they are.

Believe it or not, some cultures collectively truly enjoy violence, and some have religious rituals that require them to torture animals so that the gods can hear the cries. In the context of my culture those are sick and twisted things. But I wouldn't judge them for doing it. Yet, we can't have both living together. I simply cannot have animal torturing naked people running around my neighborhood, and they likewise don't want my cold, semi-rational vegetarian lifestyle in their midst. Incompatibilities of these sorts aren't overcome without one group killing the other.

Believing in "equality" outside of some kind of spiritual conception of it is the most brutal form of oppression possible. It's like making someone play the hardest version of a video game right from the beginning thus guaranteeing they lose, or making a 300lb 65 year old man play and win games of basketball against NBA all stars if he wants to eat. In this sense I have to agree with Asians for the most part who don't attempt to force people up into positions they're unready for or don't want. They tend to allow a more organic society to form where the "high" and "low"all have their place.

But what people do in Asia is neither here nor there. Negligible. I have my own rotting society to consider.

"arranged marriages in our modern society should be considered a crime."

Why punish the most successful form of marriage? Far less divorce, far higher self-reported levels of satisfaction.

Posted by: Jesse | May 27, 2020 at 10:50 PM

Really? When you have no choice and there’s no way out (other than murder or suicide) then I guess there would be less divorce—especially when divorce may not even be legal for many living in those cultures.

I’m skeptical about the far higher self-reported levels of satisfaction.

I think marriage is the same around the world in terms of happiness whether you are in an arranged marriage or not. The happiness depends on two people wiling to work at it.

What disturbs me is young girls being forced into marriage. That’s criminal to me.

Arranged marriages and forced marriages are two different things. I think parents or family suggesting two people might be a good fit is probably a good thing. But the couple should have the final say as to whether they agree to it.

Jesse, no country is an island. We live in a global society. Unless you think we should abolish the internet, abolish global communications and international trade then you should realize the idea of cultures living within physical borders is medieval.

Besides, culture is a fluid rather than static.

Hello India!

@Spence,

Wow! Dr. Roman Vishniac‘s photography of microscopic life looks like beautiful images of abstract art.

For once I completely agree, without question, with one of your entire “serious” comments. (Tiger King doesn’t count—I agree but it’s too weird.)

"What disturbs me is young girls being forced into marriage. That’s criminal to me."

Why doesn't it disturb you that young boys are forced into marriage?

"Unless you think we should abolish the internet, abolish global communications and international trade then you should realize the idea of cultures living within physical borders is medieval."

The the entire world outside of Europe and a few posst-British countries are medieval. Indians do not allow foreigners in India, Chinese do not allow citizenship to non-Chinese, Latin America is full of nationalism and ethnic pride and the list goes on and on. Culture is what happens within borders, and everyone has a right to their own culture.

When you start advocating for the 3rd world to allow themselves to be colonized again I'll believe that you've actually thought about what you're saying, because that's what you're saying anyway without knowing it.

And I do indeed think we should begin limiting global trade, and most certainly close the borders in USA. We should have done it 40 years ago.

This is the effects of immigration and the corresponding disintegration of culture happening in Minneapolis right now- https://imgur.com/aKaaOTZ

I can't upload video here, but I have a vid of a car full of people driving around yelling "shoot the white folks! shoot the white folks!" So, I guess if that's the sort of society you like, continue believing what you believe.

@Jesse

You know, lithium’s not just for batteries...

Sedating myself with hard drugs to hide from reality just isn't my style, Sonia.

I don’t mind your viewpoint Jesse, there may even be some truth to it , but I’m just not a fan of cultural stereotyping.

I suspect your view is more born out of the intelligentsia’s perspective in trying to poke holes in an overly PC outlook, which is that everything is equal, rather being born out of ignorant right-wing bigotry.

I agree there are differences. Every hunan being has a different fingerprint, let alone genome, but as a whole we’re awful bloody close to one another, and even awful close to chimps. Someone once said to me that most people who suffer from culture shock are hung up on the differences, but fail to recognize all the similarities. For example, none of us have wings to fly or gills to breathe underwater. Our intelligence and physical abilities lie within a limited spectrum.

You say there are some regions where no one has produced anything. Short of the polar extremities, name me one such culture and I’ll try prove you otherwise in some era or another. Cultures wax and wane, just like everything else. Six hundred years ago the Chinese were quantum more leaps more advanced than the Europeans. North America was a scientific backwater just a couple hundred years ago - it still is in many parts. The US culture itself has mammoth differences that can vary from the Hippy PC chardonnay socialist to the The Tiger King redneck. I’m not sure either is better or worse. Which do you prefer?

I think virtually every human culture on earth has made many advancements in different times in their history, often completely independently. Even ancient people who live traditional lives today can be utterly ingenious in surviving.

So no I don’t think one culture or country is necessary that much better than another. I think there can be cultures who can be the height of cultural and scientific sophistication, while at the same time hold ignorant and positively backward beliefs over their own superiority. But even if the mainstream view is ignorant, there are always exceptions and counter-cultures who think differently.

Georgy, the people of papau new guinea and australian aboriginals lived in basically a paleolithic way until recently, and still do for the most part, as do the indigenous on the andaman islands. And again, I'm not saying there's anything intrinsically bad or wrong about that way of life. But they don't adjust to "our" ways, and we don't adjust to theirs when we meet. All that happens is a lot of conflict and strife.

You could make the case that in a long gone era, tens of thousands of years ago, some things they did were absolutely critical in the development of modern western man's culture, sure. But today they're unable to adapt to the extremely complex systems we have created. In Australia there are television commercials reminding aboriginals not to sleep on the roads at night because cars can't see them. There is an unbridgable gap between cultures who do and don't sleep on the road.

I prefer neither. I find my people to be somewhat savage and backward in everything we do. We left all our commendable traits back in Europe for the most part.

Jesse vs. The World

"I thought you smoked weed..."

God I wish. The sensation is great but it makes me extremely self conscious in a bad way and very paranoid.

Jesse

Always an interesting perspective. I guess you’d probably say we’re all pretty dodgey when it comes down to it. In regard to Australian Aboriginal culture I read this recently and have to say was quite shocked and appalled :
https://www.smh.com.au/national/blast-destroys-one-of-country-s-oldest-known-aboriginal-heritage-sites-20200526-p54wmt.html

46,000 years of history for God’s sake. It is of particular interest because I used to work in this industry as a geologist, and one of the reasons I left was this very issue. Over time, the company I worked for were also involved in the removal of Aboriginal sacred sites, and the roads upon which the indigenous folk lay in protest had bulldozers on them. Looks like not a lot has changed in 35+ years.

I remember visiting other such sites and had feelings of awe and reverence. A mix of thoughts about struggle, survival, tribalism, evolution, as well as community, ancestors, wisdom, and powerful knowledgeable connection of humanity with the natural world over eons. A good term for it is ‘Deep Time’.

BFN

“Someone once said to me that most people who suffer from culture shock are hung up on the differences, but fail to recognize all the similarities.“

Georgy, have you ever been to India? Unless you spent one of your past lives there I’m pretty sure you would experience culture shock. If there were no differences to behold then we wouldn’t have different cultures to begin with. Over time you can get familiar with a different culture and then it becomes comfortable, but I think it’s only natural to observe differences.

Have you watched the Q&A of your favorite person?

I’m going to post this one on Open Thread instead of ‘There’s no reason to doubt the mind is material’ because it mixes in a lot more of the spiritual aspect to the mind/body/spirit relationship.

”I prefer neither. I find my people to be somewhat savage and backward in everything we do. We left all our commendable traits back in Europe for the most part.“

I don’t agree. I think you took your most commendable traits with you to the colonies. An “independent pioneering can-do spirit”, which most of the new world has. Go live in Europe for a few years and you’ll see some truly useless feckers.

I agree that people in some islands, polar regions and other deeply inhospitable deserts or jungles, may not have advanced a lot, but anywhere where there is a large group of humAns, there is likely to have been progress. Actually, I’d argue that the civilizations with the most diverse cultures are the strongest and possibly most advanced ones. Old empires were estvablished with trading network comprised of different cultures, the bigger and more successful and advanced the empire is likely to be.

The USA is a nation of immigrants and different cultures - the most powerful nation the world has ever seen. It’s a veritable cultural boiling pot of ‘unpedigreed bastards’ who’ve gone onto pretty much rule the world.

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Sonia,

No I haven’t been to India though I have a very good female friend from Pakistan and yes I might experience a culture shock going to India, but I like experiencing new cultures. I think people from different cultures can get on and even become extremely good friends. I’ve got maybe a little over 10 really good pals - they come from Oz, NZ, Canada, UK, South Africa, China, Pakistan, Philippines, Belgium. I’ve lived in about 5 different countries and I’ve yet to find any culture or country intolerable or truly ‘better’ than the rest. They each have their pros and cons.

Interesting... (thanks Dungeness)

And for the record, I am NOT a “follower” of Ishwar’s. I only liked that one particular talk.

“A very good female Pakistani friend” 😉 Good for you. Maybe that’s why you’ve relaxed so much. 😊 See, women aren’t all bad. They probably prevent more wars than they start.

For those of you who "don't get it"

Here are Somalis in Minneapolis who are burning the city down supposedly to protest unjust killings by police............... DEMANDING THE RELEASE OF A COP WHO KILLED A WHITE WOMAN FOR NO REASON JUST BECAUSE THE COP IS SOMALI

Good luck in your naivety. Hope it wins points in heaven, because it does nothing but cause destruction here.

"I’d argue that the civilizations with the most diverse cultures are the strongest and possibly most advanced ones."

Georgi, in really long timetables things are very different. It's possible that after hundreds of years many cultures blending together can become something great, but it's no guarantee, and the short term effects are almost always war. I'm not sure the war is worth the potential.

Everyone in existence today is the product of multiple cultures/races/ethnicities coming together either by rare peaceful migration and merging, or more commonly conquest and rape. Seeing that there are dozens of cities in USA right now being burned to the ground, all the riots based on the racial hatred of white people if we're being honest, it looks like the conquest and rape scenario is dominant again.

@Jesse

Isn’t your wife Indian? I always assumed you were white. Are you Indian too? And both from America or not?

Sonia
I never said women are bad, I said you are crackers in the pip. The two ppl I respect most in my life are women, and I’ve got several female friends. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions about people just because they disagree with you. You wanted to get my input on India, well Pakistan is pretty close even they they hate each other.

Jesse
America has always had v liberal freedom of speech laws - I don’t think it’s generally a v liberal or free country compared to Europe in many other respects, but when it comes to free speech virtually anything is allowed including religious and hate speech, and I respect that, although it can cause massive problems in terms of civil unrest, etc. The other thing is is way liberal on is the right to carry arms. Combine that with hate speech and a healthy dose of paranoia and you got a recipe for disaster.

"Isn’t your wife Indian? I always assumed you were white."

Yes, both correct.

Not sure if you're just wondering or you have something else to add, but if it's some weird thing where you don't/won't/can't distinguish between individuals and groups, I'm gonna spazz.

@Georgy
I’m only going to say this once but I hate you, truly. For real. And I think that’s fair game because you told me to fck off a number of times. You’re probably Gurinder with some stupid pseudo.

It’s funny, women who have had kids develop this sort of weakness where they can feel some sort of weird, undeserved empathy towards people who act like assholes. It’s almost like they can see the child in everyone.

Fortunately for me and unfortunately for you I don’t have that weakness.

It will be a more balanced world as far as the genders are concerned when fewer women decide to have kids.

Those baby hormones make women lose their objectivity. And men can’t handle a woman who isn’t “ladylike” or subservient. Well, it’s time for that to change. All the misogynists are in for a rude awakening. Women aren’t here to serve your every need.

My sister-in-law just turned 40. She had her first child a few months ago and never planned on having children. She used to be so tough and opinionated. I don’t even recognize her anymore. She’s turned into this empathetic mush of a person. It’s not a bad thing but she is not at all the person I’ve always known. She’s so much softer it’s disturbing. Just having a baby and now she’s all “understanding” and patient. Weird as hell.

Gurinder is a selfish asshole.

America is quickly becoming like South Africa. A country where white people need fortify their houses with multiple levels of security doors to protect their elderly from getting raped and tortured to death by mobs of savages.

Good luck everyone! Most of you asked for this.

https://twitter.com/AndySwan/status/1267081816873328640

Thanks Jesse for that video you posted. It shows what a violent world we live in. You say "Good luck everyone! Most of you asked for this."

Did I ask to be born in a country where the white skinned people have always been targeted as "racists"? When we moved to New Zealand and then Australia I was shocked how racist people were towards us - the white ex-South Africans. I remember being told by someone in NZ "I would not have spoken to you if I had known you were from South Africa". I have British ancestry and I changed my accent as fast as I could and just kept to myself and my family. The interesting thing is that people don't realise that calling a person "racist" according to the country they were born in and the colour of their skin (if its white) is that they are actually being racist themselves.

"Get the white people! Get the fucking white people!"

This is the society that science as a religion creates.

https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/1267249136937689089

Spence Tepper's glorious previously described vision of the future in actual reality has become elderly white people dragged from cars and beaten by mobs as the news calls the attackers victims and the victims evil racists who deserve death.

https://twitter.com/suhteddey/status/1267215081265217537

And Jen, I know you're from South Africa, and I know what horrible sorts of atrocity are done against people like you in South Africa, and that's why I feel actual hate for people who desperately want more of that sort of evil in the world. I hate them and how they snarkily brag about how good and morally superior they are for supporting every single thing that leads to violence, but suddenly like chameleons changing their face when the violence actually starts. They believe the same media propaganda that allows helpless Afrikaners to be viciously raped and slaughtered while being accused of being the aggressors.

Tim Rimmer, destroying ancient things is happening all over. Norway had a non-Norwegian Muslim women in charge of some cultural heritage department who turned ancient pagan megalith sites into parking lots. May she burn in hell forever.

in India the government has basically decided that "Adivassi" aka indigenous people's megalithic stone structures are fine to be routinely destroyed in order to build modern temples and crappy roads. It's disgusting, and India will get away with it without a peep from all the social justice army of the west.

It's sort of funny, but the existence of Adivasi people and their megaliths basically prove that the Aryan Invasion theory is correct. I sometimes wonder if India wants to intentionally erase their culture so as to magnify the culture of Hindus who are mistakenly considered to be the indigenous people of India.

It's kal yug baby! Everything going to shit.

Here is the Mexican police chief of an American city telling a bunch of black people that in fact all the thousands of hours of video footage of most non white people destroying cities across the USA are I guess animation or something, and it's actually white kids on skateboards burning down the cities.

Look up the steps that happen before a genocide. White people are about to get massacred. None of this stuff is accidental. If you supported these kinds of people with your morally arrogant and self-hating attitude, you votes, or worse with your money or material support, may you burn in eternal hell.

"They believe the same media propaganda that allows helpless Afrikaners to be viciously raped and slaughtered while being accused of being the aggressors."

So true Jesse. Breaks my heart.

I've been looking at the recent violent protests on youtube and it sure is the dark days of Kali Yuga.

Anti Trump morons, this is what you chose. Mobs attacking journalists for the crime of being white. Good job. You made a wise choice. Unless skulls start getting cracked soon and these riots stopped, this will be your new leadership.

Don't you dare complain about it in the future.

I guess that’s why Brian allowed GP to start commenting again—so that we could remember the truth.

"Norway had a non-Norwegian Muslim women in charge of some cultural heritage department who turned ancient pagan megalith sites into parking lots."

I think that was Sweden, not Norway, but the Minister of Culture was Alice Bah Kuhnke, a native Swede and possibly Christian. Wikipedia: "Bah was a member of the Swedish Church synod from 2006 until 2010,[10]"
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_Bah_Kuhnke

I found the most detail on the story here in a Nazi news site. If she were Muslim, they'd almost certainly have said so, but she has other strikes against her, such as being liberal.

In Norway, ironically, the greatest threat to archaeological heritage is climate change.
https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/26/world/climate-change-threatens-archaeology-intl/index.html

Climate change, the "liberal hoax" right wingers deny but that will only accelerate the migration patterns they oppose.

The right should bow down before Bill Gates and kiss his feet. If anything, his "secret agenda" is to make life more tolerable to people in the developing world 1) so they'll appreciate Western Civilization and 2) so they can all stay put!

Yeah, Anami, whatever that chick is, she wasn't Scandinavian, and she's one of many non-Scandinavians actively working to wreck Scandinavia. Also, climate change cannot be stopped. It's a stupid issue, not worth talking about. Long before human civilization the climate changed in much more dramatic ways all the time.

On another note, the super scientific and honest media made many sad and dumb Americans so butthurt about Trump that they are willing to burn houses down with children inside just to feel happy. Cool stuff!

Jesse,

Looters and arsonists belong in jail.

The official in the video is the Police Chief of Richmond, VA. He sheds a tear before saying, "When you take a legitimate issue and hijack it for unknown reasons, that is unacceptable...."

Meanwhile, you're gloating and clapping Trump on the back. In essence you're saying that because criminals take advantage of protests and Swedes can't dig a hole without unearthing sacred Viking rust, red-blooded Americans have no choice but to kill unarmed black men like George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, etc, etc.

About "cannot be initiated"

Dear 777
There is no need for initiation to exclude those with physical disabilities on the basis of their disability from spirituality. It's just another form of racial prejudice from the past. In ages past tribes would consider those with a disability as cursed. Rather than care for them, nurture and protect them, it was often the custom to reject them, and even kill them. This barbarism was all under the superstitious notion that these people were cursed and protecting them might bring curse upon oneself. This is inhuman and contrary to spirituality, which is universal brotherhood among equal souls. Any organization that violates this principle is an abomination to God and humanity.

In your own statement you claim those born with disabilities did terrible things in their past lives. This superstitious and actually wrong thinking amounts to barbarism.

There is no physical limitation to salvation. It is granted within, and in a moment. The soul carries no Karma, only the coverings. Teach the soul to get undressed and we are all the same.

But in RSSB the culture layers which are karmic also, are so heavy that the light of spirit is wrapped in very dark prejudices.

The intelligent power of creation has no limits, and no desire for separation, but a natural attraction to unity.

Any human-created prejudices that make initiation into shabd some scarce and exclusive event is wrong. Not just morally wrong, but wrong because it doesn't work that way. Karma doesn't work that way. And Shabd is universal.

When you cannot accept the infirm, the poor, the children, the disabled, you are turning your back on God. And do of course, that shuts the door to the highest regions.

Dear Delicious and mistaken Seekers thinking they are God. I posted my opinion about such an insult to God here a couple of years ago, but it needs to be considered here again. I never thought I'd ever agree with Rat on RSS about any thing, but Rat also recognizes the fallacy of the Advaita Cult.

.
Advaita Vedanta Oneness teachings mock and challenge GOD.
Here is my take on Advaita Vedanta Oneness teachings. Advaita Vedanta Teachers who follow Ramana, Niz, etc., that presently created a host of Neo-Advaita Oneness teachings of “ I AM THAT” , who have decided that they were , and are, GOD. Of course, no one has ever been able to know exactly WHO, or WHAT God is, other than ultimately the beginninig and ending of Awareness or Consciousness. God has been described as the Ocean, Fire, Light, by Mystics , who claim to be One and the Same. I have never subscribed to such an egotistic belief system, because,.........

“i” am NOT God! I never was, am not now, and never will be!

“i” am not a drop of the Ocean, WHO IS God. “i” am a creation of God, The Ocean, that unlike God, Who had no beginning, Alpha, nor will have no end, Omega, HAS had a beginning, when God, the Ocean , created “me”, the Soul that now temporarily manifests as the identity of Jim Sutherland.

That created Soul, had a beginning, but it has no end. It is now Eternal since creation, but has, and will continue to manifest through unending multitudes of impermanent, changing, Vehicles of Consciousness , using Containers, manifesting in The Wheel of 84, or The Hindu Charausi, i.e. 8,400,000 possible physical Species in the Universe.

The Created Soul that has manifested and lived in The Wheel of 84 since being created by God, from Amoebas to the present Container Temple of Jim Sutherland, and will continue to manifest in future unknown Containers, for Eternity, is unknown by “me”, the soul , and is only known by The Creator, Who is Christ, Who is also known by other Names and Identities, such as Anami Purush,
Radhasoami, God, The Holy Spirit, Source, Universe, etc, with a List that is unending, depending on individual imagination.

“i”, the Soul presently manifesting as Jim, will NEVER completely merge with God, or become a completely dissolved drop merging back to the Ocean, as Vedanta Advaitist teachers mistakingly teach, because “i” was never the Ocean, or God. “i” was only an individual creation by God, that became a drop in the Mind of God, as Kal was also created by God, to become Universal Mind, or the Hindu Brahm, the Agent of ALL minds, including not only mine, but every mind in The Wheel of 84, Charausi! Kal is the Prison Warden that has been created by GOD to incarcerate all souls created that have been Projected to the Matrix of TIME.

Any Drop that completely merges in to the Ocean, is annihilated, as far as individual Duality is concerned, and commits Spiritual suicide by claiming to be God in human form!

No doubt, God is in all of us, as Christ, and We are in Him, but will always remain in Duality for Eternity as created Individual souls have lived in Charausi , progressing to present, with out ever being sentenced to Annihilation by God , as drops merging completely back to the Ocean.

God has a Chain of Command He uses to draw his created souls back to the Cradle of Creation, where they may enjoy His Ocean of Glory, with out annihilating their Duality.

Spiritual Seekers are those created souls who have tired of experiencing the adventures in the Play of Consciousness, and are becoming detached from the impermanent enticements of the Sensory pleasures of the material world of Duality.

But, escaping the world of Duality, permanently, with out being annihilated, as taught by Vedanta Advaitists, is impossible, because according to the Bible, only God Alone knows all the secrets, and the Prophets, Masters, Avatars, only know the secrets God reveals to each of them, in Duality, as individuals.

If this is not so, there would be no secrets, and we would all know each other's thoughts and desires, actions, histories, since bring created, and we don’t, NONE of us, including Masters, Teachers, Avatars, Saviors or Mediums.

I consider “my” self, as the present culmination of all of the same Soul that has lived numerous past lives in Charausi since being created by God , a projection of my Higher Soul Self, that is now a Multidimensional Consciousness, with the present identity of Jim Sutherland, now in Duality, as having started in Duality at the time “i” was created by Christ, The WORD made flesh of John 1:1, i.e. God.

“I” will Eternally remain in Duality, as long as Consciousness of awareness is retained, but have been given the Keys of Knowledge , which is the Technique of The Science of The Soul, which may be used to escape the horrors and suffering of Charausi , when ever “i” choose to use the Prescription administered by Master to temporarily rest in the Glory of Bliss of Samadhi in Anami.

Drops never completely merge in to the Ocean with out becoming annihilated.

But, Drops may sail on The Ocean , enjoying the Sights, Sounds, Lights, Bliss, by taking refuge on various Cruise ships, which are Masters of various Lineages , or Cruise lines.

The Masters are the Cruise Ships escorting Spiritual Seekers on Adventures enjoyed and experienced ON, the Ocean, but not IN the Ocean, unless those souls manifesting in human forms desire to become souls in Aquatic Sea living forms.

Individual Saints, or Spiritual Seekers, on individual Paths of Duality, seek God by sailing the God Ocean only by sailing on the Surface , in various mixtures of Material/Spiritual Life Support Vehicles such ad Kayaks, Canoes, Rafts, Yachts, etc.

But Masters, are the Cruise Ships, that escort and ferry Seeker Souls through the Multidimensional Planes of Consciousness on the Ocean of Christ.

I consider my self, the soul that is acting as Jim, to be a Booking Agent, for all Spiritual Masters escorting and ferrying Spiritual Seekers to experience the adventures on the Ocean of Christ, i.e. The Hope of GLORY!

My Booking Fees are FREE, as my payment and rewards from Christ are held in Trust for me, in The Book of Life, Archived in the Highest Pinocle of Causal Mind, where the Avatars of Christ all reside together and Eternally remain to carry out the Plans of God.

Kal, i.e. Satan, is God’s created Agent of Time, in Duality, who is the Annihilatior of all souls who seek to venture in to the Ocean , as drops are obviously, timeless, individual creations that sail and ride the Ocean of Christ . Kal’s Agents are human Battle Ships, Submarines, loaded with poisonous demolition propaganda, used to annihilate Souls in Duality , that have ventured from Heaven/ Paradis/Sach Khand to enjoy the Play of Consciousness with out loosing Awareness or Individuality.

Kal’s Agents are Vedanta Adventist Oneness Preachers.

Booking Agents for Christ know who they are, and recognize them right away, so are enemies of Kal.

Caveat Emptor! ( let the Seeker Beware )

In case you couldn't tell, I was just kidding about all the riots and race attacks happening. It's all just CGI man, just like the moon landing.

America is fine, and the only thing really happening are legitimate peaceful protests against something that totally isn't a irrational response to a statistical anomaly and prodding by a foreign owned media. Actually there's an epidemic of violence by evil white people, as all you who live in suburban America already know.Dangerous, dangerous violence all over white suburbia. Everyone is scared to travel there.

I am evil, and was born with the original sin of racism in my brain. As beautifully explained by a holy POC on CNN, I have a virus, and so do you all, assuming any of you are white. Though, I wouldn't admit to being white if I were you, because it's an ugly sin. Even if any of the thousands of attacks against white people every year were real, it's all justified and being done for the cleansing of our world. The real Tikun Olam will be when we're all dead.

Thank God for science and progress.

Hi 777
You and I and the True Saints, and the disabled are all here together at the same time. That is the serendipity.

God did his job.

Anything we do here to create a caste system of saved / not saved, initiated/not initiated when the whole path is in reach of all, built in, is merely a reflection of the prejudices of our culture and how that poison has filtered into our thinking.

Religion claims a path to the very source of life, and then requires pagan idolatry and formal ceremonies of initiation.

But we are all one already and have only to realize it. Anyone interested gets any help they need from True Saints not stage actors.

People try to justify injustice and exclusion of our weakest brothers and sisters. This opposes God. We are here to help each other. Just look around. Purpose for you is written on the face of the hungry homeless you see as you pass by. God brought you together. Listen to that intuition!

We are not actually here for salvation! God takes care of that automatically. Those who want it get it. He plants the seed. He gives them instructions. Only He/She/It can do that.

What we can do is help each other, not invent excuses to exclude one another.

That's actually our job. That's why we're here together. That's the serendipity.

People deny that. They create some sort of exclusionary rules of who deserves help and who doesn't to justify a selfish life.

Intuition is there and automatically draws us to help those in need. We are all in one family. That helps us connect with each other and with the spirit.

To deny help also shuts the door to salvation. To exclude anyone from salvation is actually turning away from the same door ourselves.

But that's OK because RSSB is a photocopy, not the real path. And those turned away are actually better than those accepted because the rejected turn within and find God directly.

There is no real seva in an organization that excludes our most vulnerable from salvation. It is an abomination to God to have to watch human beings make excuses for excluding each other when it is unnecessary. Of all the commodities that is in infinite supply, and within all of us, that is Spirit.

So when a stage actor perpetuates cultural bogotry against the most vulnerable and all their followers make excuses and invent lies to defend such ignorance and cruelty, then your owm intuition can show you how filthy and corrupt that is.

To make excuses for excluding people is like making excuses for denying clean drinking water to a poor village when your purification plant runs a huge surplus all the time, fast and night.

Cruelty is born in such meager thinking.

It may be as you day and the stage actor trusts their limited intuition to decide who gets in and who doesn't. But that reflects their limited progress. Good wants everyone in without question. The True Saint loves everyone as equal to themselves, even greater than themselves. They see the Lord in others so naturally there is no exclusion.

Rather than make claims that the RSSB path, the path of Sant Mat is a boon to civilization, it really isn't.

It's there for folks who haven't yet realized, down to their toes, that we all have the same loving Father and are all brothers and sisters. The caste system is what we have created ourselves. Elimnating that caste system thinking in our heart is the first real step to salvation. Without taking that step the garage is empty.

And when you take that step, then you open the doors wide.

@JIM

Black Lives Matter protests in New Zealand and in Australia: 3 June, 6 June and 13 June. "Peaceful" protests of course, heh, lets see how that goes. There must be something wrong with this "God" people keep on talking about, why create all these different tribes on this planet, seems somewhat like a trouble maker. I'm wondering if the Covid virus has triggered something in people's brains all of a sudden. Strange behaviour. People rioting and some killed for the sake of peace! What the!

Spence Tepper continually promoting genocide in disguise. Cool stuff. Big brains at work.

Jen asks, "why create all these different tribes on this planet"

Tribalism is a reality. Instead of being mad at reality, how about we try to do less damage? Let's dump the disgusting ___s in this world who shove violence wrapped in happy fun tie dye down our throats. Go back to the ethos of Byzantium and strip them of their ability to agitate and destroy order and goodness.

We need to make peace with what is, and stop trying to make fantasies come to life.

What not to say to someone battling mental illness:
https://pin.it/43MIqBK

Toxic positivity

https://pin.it/4kVFQVj

https://pin.it/12IjOex

https://pin.it/12IjOex

Don’t be a victim and please don’t act like a high on crack-life-Tony-Robbins-self-help guru.

Get real.

Please.

Ya know, I’ve achieved a lot in my life. I’ve had incredible opportunities and a great number of people have put tremendous faith in me. In theory, I should have had it all—with intelligence, talent, understanding and compassion. But all of that doesn’t amount to a hill of beans when your battling years of debilitating depression and anxiety. And I’m certainly not looking for sympathy. I’m just saying, it doesn’t matter how much you have when you are coping with “mental illness” day in and day out. People look at you and think you have everything and assume you should be happy. But that’s just not how it works. You’re better off without all those traits and advantages if you can live a life free of depression and extreme anxiety.

I wish people were more educated about these things. You simply cannot judge a person just by looking at them. I’m don’t care how blessed you are with the right looks and social standing. It’s all meaninglessness

If you are happy and stable and content, count yourself among the most blessed.

The rest of us aspire to that and hopefully will achieve what you have.

What you judge as weakness in others is often a weakness you’re afraid of having yourself.

I believe anything is possible. I truly believe circumstances can change with the right attitude. And sometimes the right attitude is just acceptance.

Acceptance is hard for those with a strong ego but it’s not impossible. I’m starting to believe that only through acceptance can one truly be happy. And not in an “I’m a defeated victim” sort of way. Just in an it’s OK for things not to meet my expectations or for things not to be perfect. It doesn’t mean I can’t be happy. I don’t have to control everything. Maybe that’s the key to happiness—letting go of the need to always be in control.

It’s amazing, you have “all this going for you” and yet sometimes you spend 3 weeks in bed just staring at the wall unable to get up and do anything. It’s an IMPOSSIBLE thing to explain to anyone who hasn’t been through the same dense heavy fog. But it’s real and I can assure you that NO ONE would choose that. No one wants THAT sort of attention. It’s embarrassing and miserable, so you make up excuses. But depression is real and invisible and so horribly misunderstood. The religious or spiritual fanatics see it as a spiritual problem. Maybe it is, but I doubt it’s any more of a spiritual problem than having cancer. It’s just an illness plain and simple. Just as miserable as cancer but unfortunately it comes with a TREMENDOUS amount of judgement.

One day I’d like one of the “Masters” to say they suffered extreme depression or anxiety and that it’s not something to be judged. It’s just simply an illness. There’s medical help and people should be a lot less judgemental.

Until that day comes (in 2050 or so) we’ll just treat it the best we can. But I can assure you it’s been around since the beginning of time. The problem is Masters view it as a Spiritual Problem. That creates all sorts of judgement and lack of proper treatment. Is a medical problem. That’s all it is. Plain an simple.

Don’t tell me what you think about people with Mental Illness unless you’re willing to experience what they’re going through.

I like Lady Gaga because she admits to having a complete psychotic break and having to be on antipsychotics every day. I’m not on antipsychotics and I don’t think I’ve ever had a “psychotic break”. But I am able to empathize with her and know that her pain is real. I don’t judge her and think, “yeah, but you’ve got way more going for you than the average person”. I know that it must be hell for her. WHO WOULD CHOOSE TO GO THROUGH THAT?? You may say it’s attention seeking but you would be soooooo wrong. There are a lot more fun ways to get attention.

OK. I’m done with my rant. I expect very few to “get it”—to get what I’m saying.

I’m just saying, if you’ve never experienced anything like it then please at least be grateful and don’t judge. Or you could donate to the ‘Born this Way’ foundation.

And of course there are a gazillion movie stars and singers with bipolar. Seems to plague the extremely creatives. Just do a google search. It’s exhaustive.

Maybe they’re all past life higher realm ppl. Who knows. It’s weird.

They seem to have an inexplicable creative charisma that’s unnatural.

Jesse,

So you hate Trump, and I'm a moron for not recognizing it, but anti-Trumpers are morons too.

Help me out here. "Hate" and "Anti" are kind of the same, unless you can separate the person from his policies. You could, I suppose. Sociopaths, notoriously, are charismatic but toxic to other humans, lying, manipulating and victimizing. Alternatively, you could experience envy, loving what they do but hating that they're in the position instead of you.

Either way emotions conflict. I get a warm feeling from Trump's voice and smile, for example, but his words and methods completely annihilate it. I think he's a sociopath, and I automatically distrust him. By extension, I automatically distrust anyone in league with him. Not hate, just distrust and an impulse to scrutinize.

"So you hate Trump, and I'm a moron for not recognizing it, but anti-Trumpers are morons too.

Help me out here. "

You would need help. Listen, you can find a politician undesirable and not want to work towards his destruction thus ensuring the chaos and death that you see happening all around you today. In fact, unless you're being slaughtered or put into camps, real ones like were in USSR, then you probably should just wait it out.

-Accepting Trump's annoyingness and stupidity and just letting 4 years pass with no new foreign wars, an economic boom and relative domestic peace would have been wise.

-Being anti Trump and trying to destroy him is aggressively stupid, and self destructive as anyone with two eyes can see right now. There are dozens of cities burning, and they're pretending like it has to do with a cop killing. L O L

"unless you can separate the person from his policies."

If you can't do that you're utterly incapable of positively contributing to a democracy, which is now pretty obviously proving itself to be the worst system of governance in all of human history anyway.

Thanks for sharing. Sometimes I have a really bad outburst usually directed at someone I’ve had issues with for a really long time. It scares me though. I think, OMG, where did that come from? How did I do something like that? 😬 🧟‍♀️ Although I know I’m wrong when I lose my temper, I’ve also learned that if it seems to come out of nowhere then it’s not really “nowhere”. It usually means I have a lot of unprocessed, very serious issues with that person that need to be resolved. Sometimes you can’t resolve things, though.

I liked the article.

Well, speaking of sociopaths, psychopaths and some serious brotherly mudslinging—Shiv is certainly calling the kettle black. Jeez

This seems like updated old news because I don’t remember the whole Bhasmasur thing. It actually makes you sound crazy to call someone else that.

Oops, Brian, I included the wrong link in that last comment. It should be this one:

The words "peaceful protest" used to describe cities burning to the ground. This is the insane world we live in.

“Tribalism is a reality.”

You should spend more time in Africa. Maybe visit South Africa. You’d probably really like it. The whole country is falling apart but they’re sticking to their tribal ways.

For me this is easy , having seen that i was a murderer a few lifes ago
which I told here long ago

I think you are referencing one of your previous comments where I asked if there were other PLMs. And your comment at that time was truly the funniest comment you’ve ever posted. It was pure sarcasm. Not used to you being sarcastic.

@Georgy

Yes, I’m an asshole AND I’m going to hell. Somewhere in that sentence was an apology for going way, way, way off the deep end bat shit crazy. I’m only apologizing because I went to such an extreme. I’m not saying I want you back commenting (cause you totally trigger me). Just saying I know the difference between right and wrong.

Please read this and do not reply.

Namaste

Democracy works beautifully with an active citizenry.

Wealthy people can and do pay for advertising, lobbyists and politicians, and hire thugs, as a natural result of using their wealth to further their interests. This is human nature and will never change nor be eradicated.

Democracy provides a counterbalance to this through the vote and free speech. It understands the impact of communication, information, and the necessity of cooperation.

A wealthy person can pay for advertising.

A poor person can voice their complaint and refuse to cooperate, where there is the vote and free speech, and the right to peaceful protest.

Nothing is perfect. But if you look for destruction, you will find it everywhere.

People complain about what they don't like... They don't like destruction. But those same people perpetuated policies that have perpetuated violence, enslavement and murder.

Looters are not protestors. They are the disenfranchised taking advantage of the situation. Just like Trump not paying his workers or sexually attacking them. Taking advantage of his situation to take what is not his.

To reduce violence of all kinds we need ongoing peaceful protest, non-violent protest, civil disobedience, passive resistance and the vibrant user of the vote. That's the cost of liberty. Five key requirements to protect a Democracy. It's just the cost of liberty from oppression. And a democracy allows the exercise of these five functions.

“Compare this with :
Going in before your time in this pinda astral world°° which
would make in a second a jeeva completely INSANE
I mean SO INSANE that even an observer loses his mental balance
and can become crazy as well
°° or see THIS Planet

Imaging the worst misdades the top cruelty like from Pol Pot, Mao, Nero or
from thegenocide against the armenians with tens of miles
of women, children & men , cruxified along the road free for passengers to misuse
as according to their pervers taste
and so much much much more”

********

Yep. Did that too. Ergo...

Anyway, I just discovered that acceptance is letting go. Letting go. You would think resistance is letting go but it’s not. Acceptance is actually the release.

Weird.

I realize no one is interested in this but I’m going to comment about it anyway.

Who are the crackpot attorneys who convinced the Singhs to keep fighting this??? Now they owe 1 crore more than they did 4 years ago. There’s no way they can pay that back. Well... not unless a lot of their friends feel really generous.

Even I have enough sense to know there’s no way you’re not going to win against Daiichi Sankyo. Seriously.

This sucks.

https://business.medicaldialogues.in/delhi-high-court-upholds-daiichis-rs-3500-crore-arbitral-award-singh-brothers

“In 2016, the Singapore arbitration tribunal had directed Singh brothers to pay Rs 2,562 crore in damages giving the verdict in favour of Daiichi which has now valued at Rs 3,500 crore after including interest and legal fees.

Maybe you can prove effectiveness of the following forms of governance simply by listing examples of countries and tally up the winner. Reality vs. ideology. Human nature never fits neatly into any packaged ideal.

Tribalism—

Communism—

Socialism—

Capitalism—

Brian, don't wait 30 years to leave the science cult. Especially considering that it seems to have been taken over by Indian scam artists selling crypto currency.

It's funny how we allow people from literally the most corrupt place on earth, and where doctors are known to be some of the most shady frauds on earth, to just walk right into our healthcare system. And even when they have cases of fraud and malpractice in their past they're still allowed to have massive amounts of influence on our society when they should instead be jailed or deported.
