Blogger Brian wrote above, "Sure, God almost certainly doesn't exist.."

-- As a thing to be known objectively or shown objectively, Brian is probably right.

"God" existing in time, in succession, is a concept of mind and therefore is imagined.

When the illusion of this imagined God disappears and nothing is perceptible to the senses, then what remains is what "God" is. (It seems to me)

So, God is nothing? I think it is more like nothing that seems to be something while actually being nothing. It is just the process of this. Dreaming, awakening, dreaming, awakening.

Since everything knowable depends on the conceptual succession of time, if that process were absent or rests then the entire universe would disappear.

What then remains would be what was perceiving the vanished universe.
