When I got an email from someone representing Christian Universities Online who shared a link to their "Religion Cheat Sheet," I deleted the message after a quick lookover.
But the next day this person said she was checking to see how I liked the infographic. If I did, was I going to pass it along to my blog readers?
Well, Hailey, actually I do like the Religion Cheat Sheet. It's a clever and seemingly pretty darn accurate flow chart of what religion you end up with, given your answers to a few questions.
Give it a look-see below, or via the link above. Share in a comment what "religion" (or lack thereof) you turned out to embrace.
Not surprisingly, both my wife and I ended up at SEC -- Secular Humanist. But, hey, that's just a step away from BUD -- Buddhist. Difference being in whether one's focus is on a path to liberation. I don't feel like there's anything to be liberated from.
Checking out how one gets to Judaism (JU), I was surprised to see that the final questions were "Do you believe in reincarnation?" and "Do you follow an eastern religion?"
Supposedly Judaism is a western religion with a belief in reincarnation. I thought I'd caught the Religion Cheat Sheet in a mistake. However, it looks like I thought wrong. There is indeed a strong current of reincarnation in Judaism.
I liked how, a little ways down the path that leads to Christian denominations, there's this question: "Do you hate everybody?"
Answer "Yes" and you're a member of Westboro Baptist. Its website is called God Hates Fags. I don't believe in God, but I also don't believe that the God I don't believe in hates homosexuals.
Anyway, nice touch by whoever put together the Religion Cheat Sheet.
