If you've got a Kindle, or a Kindle reader, you'll definitely get your money's worth out of a 26 page e-book, Buddha in Blue Jeans: An Extremely Short Zen Guide to Sitting Quietly and Being Buddha.
The cost is zero, nothing. $0.00, nada, zilch.
The message is valuable: sit quietly every day.
I've been doing that for 43 years. Can't say that I'm a Buddha, but hey, maybe I am. Regardless, my morning meditation seems to have helped keep me from becoming any crazier than I already am.
Maybe even a little saner.
(Alternative equally valid rendering: My morning meditation seems to have helped keep me from becoming any saner than I already am. Maybe even a little crazier.)
"my morning meditation seems to have helped keep me from becoming any crazier than I already am."
Which is like saying that if I didn't smoke, drink, and eat meat, I'd be a lethal weapon.

I don't believe in meditation, the very idea of adopting a methodology for basically being you when you are aƱready living inside your body and mind is something that I wouldn't take for granted, it's like saying hey guys I got a new drug, it expands your mind, it makes, you, well, be a Buddha which you basically already are but hey, this time is for free, try it you will like it, your friend will make you feel better, amd then you become an addict, to meditation, the oriental drug that has been intoxicating people's mind for years now. If some day I decide to meditate it will be developing my own technique, doing it my way, we don't need another "harmless" practice to be again controlled by what gurus or ancient spiritual masters said. That's again playing and falling into the manipulation traps.

My wife and I love our new Kindle Fire. It's lightweight, easy to use and has a great interface. The first thing I recommend anyone with a new Kindle do is install the nook app. We got our instructions from www.kindlemad.com through google.
It basically unlocks all the Android marketplace apps and unlocks the device. I am one very happy Kindle owner!
