The neurologist making the presentation ends by saying If the person dies, does one hemisphere go to heaven and the other go to hell? I don't have the answer to that. Watch and see if you do.

I like Ramachandran's lectures - probably the rolling rrrs. His mirror box for eliminating phantom limb pain is ingenious.
I don't think heaven and hell are compartmentalized so neatly. Different hallucinogens and different meditational techniques affect different parts of the brain and produce different "mystical" experience from what I've read.
Rick Strassman's work with DMT shows that the divine experiences aren't necessarily due to higher hemispheric function. The process of life review along with the heavens and hells in the Tibetan Book of the Dead would probably be altered if the two hemispheres can't communicate. imo.
