That all notions of selfhood, path, lacking, seeking and finding are simply expressions of consciousness playing the divine game.
Brian commented on 'The glory of being spiritually lost'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83451c0aa69e200d8349efe1953ef2006-07-11T21:13:19Z2007-08-20T02:17:49ZBrianhttp://hinessight.blogs.com/Edward: absolutely. By which I mean, what I'm aiming for is complete congruence between what I believe and what I am actually experiencing.

To me, this is the essence of spirituality and mystic practice: to go beyond concepts, theologies, philosophies, and beliefs--seeking to experience what is beyond sensation and thought, wild raw whatever-that-might-be.

So I certainly do my best to justify my current spiritual situation by seeing it as clearly as I can. Not adding on to it. Not subtracting from it.

My intuition is that intuition is much closer to genuine mystic realization than thinking is.

I trust that "Yes, Yes, Yes" I spoke about more than words I read in some supposedly holy book. I may be misled, but at least I'll be directly and honestly misled. And if anybody is going to mislead me, I figure that it might as well be me.
Robert Paul Howard commented on 'The glory of being spiritually lost'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83451c0aa69e200d8349e534453ef2006-07-08T17:43:59Z2007-08-20T00:32:43ZRobert Paul HowardDear Brian, How much of what you compose might simply be just justification for whatever your current "spiritual" situation is?...
Dear Brian,
How much of what you compose might simply be just justification for whatever your current "spiritual" situation is?
