This assuages the guilt I feel from buying books via Amazon the rest of the time.

Both of them made me 0% happier except after I read them when I was about 3% happier because I was done with them and could get on to something that might make me 10% happier.

However, happiness is not really what I seek although it's fine with me if it comes along. It seems happiness is eventually followed by unhappiness and eventually happiness once again in an endless cycle. What might be better is peace and acceptance of whatever we are experiencing now. Taking it as it comes. You know, the old "going with the flow" sort of thing.

One book that made me about 10% happier for a little while was Suzanne Foxton's novela "The Ultimate Twist". This is not necessarily a recommendation. It just happened to "click" with the state of mind I was in at the time I read it. This may or may not be the case with a different reader. I would hate to recommend it and have it make someone 10% more miserable.
